Chapter 1

Mirai Kakujou (角上未来, Kakujō Mirai) is the younger sister of Youkou Kakujou in the series, Smokin' Parade.

Appearance[]

Mirai is a young 14 year old girl with short hair and wide eyes. When first scene, she is seen wearing a school uniform, with hair clips. Around her neck is her half of the two leaf clover that she and Youkou share. Her legs visibly show the marks from the transplant she received from Ame no Tori. During the 15th Birthday Arc, the leg transplant turns Mirai into a spider. In her original Spider form, the head shap resembles a cartoon bunny mascot.

After turning into a Shikagura, Mirai's outfit changes. Mirai wears a sleevless turtleneck, and lace both on her arms, and over her scars from the transplant. The four leaf clover is now in the form of a hair clip that Mirai keeps in her hair. Additionally, Mirai can change her legs into resembling rabbit legs. While in this form, Mirai's legs allow her to run, jump, and kick with great power.

Before the start of the series, Mirai was wheel chair bound due to a lack of legs.

Personality[]

Before turning into a spider, Mirai was a sweet and slightly air headed girl. While preparing for Youkou's birthday, it was shown that she had two friends from school. While in the form of a spider, Youkou's personality is still sweet, despite her violent tendencies.

As a Shikagura, Mirai is subdued at first, not remembering who she is, or who Youkou is. Once remembering Youkou, elements of her old personality have returned. While Mirai has connected with the other Shikagura, Mirai priorities her brother over Ame no Tori.

History[]

Not much of Mirai's past is known besides the fact that Mirai and Youkou grew up in the same orphanage. In the orphanage, Mirai was bullied by other children, causing Youkou to become her protector.

At some point, Youkou and Mirai were both adopted by Kakujo-san. During this time, Mirai expressed her desire to Youkou to have her own four leaf clover. This lead to the event in which Youkou was gone for three days in order to track the clover down. Instead, Youkou brought back two, two leafed clovers for he and Mirai to both carry.

Plot[]

15th Birthday Arc[]

Mirai visits the doctor who confirms that Mirai's leg transplant was a success. Mirai gleefully goes home to start preparing for Youkou's birthday party with her two friends. In the process of preparing for Youkou's birthday party, Mirai begins her transformation into a Spider.

When Youkou arrives home, Mirai knocks him out. When Youkou wakes up, it is revealed that Mirai has killed her friends, and used Youkou's appendages to finish setting up for the party. As Mirai transforms and attempts to kill Youkou, Akuta, Midari, and Matsugo appear to exterminate Mirai. Mirai fights with the Jackalopes, Youkou attempts to intervene. Akuta aims a shot towards Mirai, only for Youkou to hop in the way. As Mirai dies, the rabbit head that covered her body disappears.

Shikagura Arc[]

Mirai is first seen to be alive after she beheads reporter Ritsuko Yamaga. Kurama Hazama asks the Shikagura if they have disposed of the bug. Fury states that "She doesn't talk too much".

For much of the Shikagura Arc, Mirai is silent. Mirai only starts to remember who she is after she loses her hair clip with the two leaf clover. After the invasion of Ame no Tori. Majima states that he's sure Mirai had a better family than the Shikagura. Mirai is later found by Kurama's henchmen in order to bring her back to Kurama. Mirai, remembering full who she is, runsaway from the henchmen.

Mirai looks for Youkou, before finally coming across him as he fights against Mikuro. Mirai assists Youkou in finishing off Mikuro before Youkou attempts to kill Mirai. Kotoharu stops Youkou, and Mirai is taken to be studied by Shirama Hazama.
